Three years of publishing on the art of South Asia and the Gulf, and an advisory built on what we learned doing it.
The Neo Art House began as a magazine. It still is one. Everything else grew out of the same work: reading catalogues, talking to galleries, and watching people make expensive mistakes for want of information nobody had bothered to write down.
Three things, one house
The Neo Art Magazine
Published bi-monthly since 2023, now eleven issues. It covers the primary market: artists, galleries, exhibitions and the ideas moving through them. Distributed on Magzter and PressReader. This is where the House started and where its editorial judgement is on public record.
The Proscenium
A free directory of galleries, museums, foundations and artists across South Asia and the Gulf, at theproscenium.art. Every listing is free and always will be. Nobody pays to appear, which is the whole point.
The advisory
Cross-border auction research. What it costs to move money and art between two countries, what could stop it, and whether a specific lot is worth what you were about to bid. Corridor briefs are free. Lot reviews and commissioned research are paid.
What we sell, and what we refuse
We sell written documents at fixed fees. We do not bid for clients, hold client funds, or take any commission. We accept no money from galleries, dealers or auction houses in any part of the group, and the magazine declines advertising from anyone who could appear on the sell side of a purchase we might be advising on.

Why cross-border
Buying at auction in another country is harder than buying at home, everywhere. Remittance limits, export licensing, import duty and registration deadlines decide whether a purchase is possible at all, and none of it appears in a price database or a catalogue.
We started with India and the Gulf because that is where our knowledge is deepest. We research any corridor on request, and publish it afterwards.

Asking about a specific lot? Include the auction house, the sale date, the lot number and a link. Tell us where you are tax resident. That is enough for us to say whether a review would be useful before either of us spends money.
Asking about a corridor we have not published? Name both countries and roughly when you are bidding.
For corrections, for anything you think we have got wrong, or if you believe we have breached the independence policy, use the same address. We respond within five working days and correct publicly where we were wrong.
